A seven-year old basic
three pupil of Pritikids-Rehoboth School, Ejigbo, Favour Adaobi Enemchukwu,
recently released a music album into the Nigerian entertainment market.
The budding artist whose 9-track
gospel album titled ‘God’s grace’ is enjoying quality air play, praised her parents
and recording company for making her realise her potentials, even as a child.
Describing the young, beautiful
talent from Umudioka, Anambra State, as an epitome of hard work, her father,
Mr. Joseph Enemchukwu who doubles as her manager stated that her tenacity, hard
work and singleness of purpose contributed immensely to the success of the work.
According to him, “Favour
is an amazing girl and a great singer. If her talent is adequately harnessed, I
am sure she will go places. This is just the beginning. We will give her the
necessary support to propel her to the top because I am convinced she has all
it takes to get there.”
To the mother, Mrs. MaryJane
Enemchukwu, her second daughter’s foray into music started at the age of four,
adding that the journey that produced the finished product (album) had been a
long one.
“We’ve been at this thing
since 2012; we even wanted to quit at a time because of the challenges we
encountered along the way; but I am very happy that we were able to pull it off
successfully. We thank God for the enablement and courage to go the whole hog. My
daughter sings and dances around the house, sometimes it could be irritating
but we have come to terms with her way of expressing what she has on the
inside,” she confessed.
The Management and staff
of her school poured encomiums on the music star as she performed some tracks
from her newly-released album at the school’s end-of-year party last month.
The inspiring and
soul-searching album contains such hit tracks as Celebrate Jesus, Who can love
me?, When you wake up, Taste and see, among others.
The music was produced and
marketed by Ammy Production, Ikotun, Lagos.
