Houseboy injures spinal cord peeping at madam bathing

A 26-year-old domestic worker, Ubong Etu
Nbomang, has injured his spinal cord while peeping at his female boss
while she was having her bath.
He has been hospitalised at the Federal Medical Centre, Asaba, Delta State, after falling and breaking his spine.
His boss is a top federal civil servant
in one of the neighbouring states. The houseboy was alleged to have made
holes around the bathroom door, through which he peeped at his boss
whenever she was having a shower.

Our correspondent learnt that Nbomang had climbed on a platform to have a vantage view of his boss who is in her 30s.

Don’t drop pregnant women, nursing mothers from NYSC—NGO tells FG
Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria (HURIWA), an NGO has urged
the Federal Government not to stop pregnant women and nursing mothers
from participating in National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
The HURIWA National Coordinator, Mr Emmanuel Onwubiko, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday in Abuja that stopping them from taking part in the programme would be discriminatory.

WAEC assessment system inefficient – GNECC
The Ghana National Education Campaign Coalition (GNECC) says the
current West African Examination Council (WAEC) assessment system is
inefficient hence the high level of irregularities reported year after
year.
Addressing a News Conference in Accra on Thursday, Mr Bright Appiah,
the Council Chair, GNECC, challenged WAEC to strengthen its assessment
system to prevent people from taking advantage of it.
“WAEC must strengthen its systems to ensure the dignity of our
children. The recurrence of examination malpractices and subsequent
cancellation of papers is highly unacceptable and it is about time WAEC
and other relevant regulatory bodies put in place measures to address
the problem with utmost urgency,” he said.
Missing Indonesian Plane has been found, crashed into mountain
The Indonesian plane that went missing Sunday has been found. Suprasetyo, Indonesian Director General of air transportation disclosed during a press conference. He said the wreckage of the Trigana Air Service plane which was en route from Jayapura to Oksibil was found in the Oktabe district of Papua Province, but villagers reported seeing the plane which had on board 54 passengers and crew, crash into the mountain.

Typhoon Soudelor hits Southeast China
A super storm has hit the Southeastern Chinese city of Wenzhou Saturday night killing about 14 people, and another four missing in the wake of Typhoon Soudelor.
The typhoon, the 13th this year according to Xinhua news brought heavy downpours to the regions where precipitations in some counties reached 700 mm over the past two and a half days, a record in up to 120years.

This is so sad and quite unfortunate. A 9-year old Bat boy, Kaiser Carlile had died after he was struck by a baseball player's swing in Kansas, his team said. Bobbi Kristina Brown dies at 22
Nearly six months after being found face down and unresponsive
in a bathtub in her Georgia home — and a month after being moved to
hospice — Bobbi Kristina Brown, the only child of Whitney Houston and
Bobby Brown, has died at the age of 22.
The Associated Press reported her death
on Sunday night. "Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away July 26, 2015,
surrounded by her family," a rep for the Houston family said. "She is
finally at peace in the arms of God. We want to again thank everyone for
their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few
months."

JTF nabs suspected pipeline vandals, sea pirates in Delta, Bayelsa
The Joint Task Force (JTF) in the Niger Delta, Operation Pulo Shield,
said it had arrested five suspected sea pirates and two pipeline
vandals in Bayelsa and Delta respectively.
The Spokesman of the JTF, Lt.-Col. Isa Ado, made the disclosure on Sunday in Yenagoa.
He told newsmen that the arrests were effected on July 20 and July 23.
He added that ``on July 20, JTF troops conducted cordon and search
operations at Lagosgbene community in Southern Ijaw Local Government
Area of Bayelsa and arrested five suspected sea pirates.

Tokyo plane crash leaves three dead
A small plane crashed in Japan Sunday, killing three people and setting fire to several houses. The plane which crashed at about 02.00GMT shortly after taking off from Chofu airport in Tokyo was a five-seater light plane. Three people survived the crash.

Louisiana cinema shooting: Lafayette gunman 'had violent past'
The gunman who killed two people and
injured several others at a Louisiana cinema had a history of mental
health issues, according to court documents.
John Houser, 59, fired a dozen rounds from a handgun at a film screening in Lafayette before shooting himself.
