Bobbi Kristina Brown dies at 22

 
Nearly six months after being found face down and unresponsive in a bathtub in her Georgia home — and a month after being moved to hospice — Bobbi Kristina Brown, the only child of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, has died at the age of 22.
The Associated Press reported her death on Sunday night. "Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away July 26, 2015, surrounded by her family," a rep for the Houston family said. "She is finally at peace in the arms of God. We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months."

RadarOnline reports that the reality matriarch was visibly upset and has confided in a close friend, that her family might actually be caused going by what's happening between Scott Disick and Kourtney Kardashian, Tyga and Kylie jenner and Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian.

JTF nabs suspected pipeline vandals, sea pirates in Delta, Bayelsa

The Joint Task Force (JTF) in the Niger Delta, Operation Pulo Shield, said it had arrested five suspected sea pirates and two pipeline vandals in Bayelsa and Delta respectively.
The Spokesman of the JTF, Lt.-Col. Isa Ado, made the disclosure on Sunday in Yenagoa.
He told newsmen that the arrests were effected on July 20 and July 23.
He added that ``on July 20, JTF troops conducted cordon and search operations at Lagosgbene community in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa and arrested five suspected sea pirates.

Tokyo plane crash leaves three dead

          
 A small plane crashed in Japan Sunday, killing three people and setting fire to several houses. The plane which crashed at about 02.00GMT shortly after taking off from Chofu airport in Tokyo was a five-seater light plane. Three people survived the crash.

Buhari Appoints Two Acting DGs In A Week, Sparking Allegations Of Ethnic Favoritism

Less than a week after President Muhammad Buhari appointed Calistus Obi, an Igbo by ethnicity, as acting director general/chief executive of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), the president today raised eyebrows when he approved the appointment of Haruna Baba Jauro as the new acting DG of NIMASA. The new appointee, Mr. Jauro, is from the northeastern state of Yobe and an Hausa by ethnicity. 
Mr. Buhari’s unexplained removal of Mr. Obi and his appointment of Mr. Jauro has sparked accusations in political circles that the president was unduly filling major posts with individuals from the northern part of Nigeria where he hails from.

Financial experts laud Oteh's appointment by World Bank

Two financial experts on Saturday lauded Ms Arunma Oteh's appointment as Vice President/Treasurer of the World Bank.
They told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in separate interviews in Lagos that the appointment was in recognition of Oteh's laudable achievements during her tenure at the Security and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Louisiana cinema shooting: Lafayette gunman 'had violent past'

             Police said John Houser had a criminal history but that it was "pretty old"

The gunman who killed two people and injured several others at a Louisiana cinema had a history of mental health issues, according to court documents.
John Houser, 59, fired a dozen rounds from a handgun at a film screening in Lafayette before shooting himself.
Documents seen by the AP news agency show his family won a protective order against him in 2008 due to "various acts of violence" towards them.
His wife, who filed for divorce in March, said he had become "volatile".

Oklahoma family found dead: 'We've just never seen anything like this'

Residents of the Tulsa bedroom community of Broken Arrow, Okla., were reeling Thursday following the overnight slaughter of five family members in what police are calling the worst homicide in the history of a town known for its lack of crime.
The dead included two adults, presumed to be the parents, and three children, roughly between 5 and 15 years of age. Another girl was hospitalized in serious condition with stab wounds and a 2-year-old who apparently hid during the attack was found unharmed at the scene.

Star of the Sundance Channel show Loredana, Esq. found dead, Boyfriend Arrested for Murder

The body of a reality TV lawyer and a former police officer, Loredana Nesci, 47, star of Sundance TV's Loredana, Esq.was discovered at her Redondo Beach, California, residence Wednesday after suffering an apparent stab wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
A statement by the police revealed that Nesci’s boyfriend, Robert Reagan, 51, has been arrested in connection with the murder.

Sandra Bland's autopsy shows no sign of violent homicide, prosecutor says

 
An autopsy performed by authorities in Texas found that Sandra Bland committed suicide, according to prosecutors.
The autopsy report, which has not been released to the public, indicates the cause of death was hanging.
"The evidence that we've reviewed up to this point supports those findings," Waller County Assistant Dist. Atty. Warren Diepraam told reporters Thursday.
"In a violent homicide or a murder, where one person takes another person's life, it is typical ... to see some sort of injuries on the person's hands," he said.

Dylann Roof faces hate crime charges in Charleston shooting

The grand jury's indictment charges Roof with 33 counts, including federal hate crime and firearms charges, Lynch said.
South Carolina does not have a hate crime law, Lynch said. Roof, 21, already faces a number of state charges in connection with the June 17 Bible study attack at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church.

 After reading this, I guess some people would like to join the gypsy movement. A minister of the Light and Life Gypsy Church, Davey Jones, 60 died earlier this month. He was the pastor of the church for more than 10 years. Gypsies from all across the country attended the funeral of the father of three in Staffordshire, UK today.
According to Daily mail, Jones was hugely popular among the travelling community both in Britain and abroad, with police forced to close roads to accommodate mourners travelling behind his horse-drawn funeral cortège.

Abia police arrest auto mechanic for alleged kidnapping

The Police Command in Abia, has arrested on Ifeanyi Nwunni, an auto mechanic in Umuahia, for allegedly kidnapping a taxi-cab driver at gunpoint.
The command’s Spokesman, DSP Ezekiel Onyeke, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Umuahia on Monday that Nwunni, was arrested following a tip-off from a good Nigerian.
He said that the suspect was carrying his victim, one Ifeanyi John, in the booth of his car before he was arrested last Wednesday at Onuimo, the boundary between Abia and Imo.
Onyeke said that the suspect, who hails from Obowo Local Government Area of Imo, was arrested along with another man, who is now at large.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday in Washington DC, U.S. was hosted to a breakfast meeting by American Vice-President, Joe Biden, where they compared notes on the terror war.
At the meeting, which held at the Naval Observatory, official residence of Vice President, Biden shared with his guest what the U.S. had learnt from the terror war, saying that “victory cannot come from military option alone.’’

A 5-year old girl dies in playground accident in east London

A 5-year old girl, Alexia Walenkaki who was playing in Mile End Park Friday evening was killed when a tree, to which a zip wire was attached fell on her. The Guardian UK reported that, 'Officers were called just after 5.30pm on Friday and attended the scene with London ambulance service, which found the girl in cardiac arrest. She was taken to the Royal London hospital, where she died at 6.43pm.'
