Missing Indonesian Plane has been found, crashed into mountain


The Indonesian plane that went missing Sunday has been found. Suprasetyo, Indonesian Director General of air transportation disclosed during a press conference. He said the wreckage of the Trigana Air Service plane which was en route from Jayapura to Oksibil was found in the Oktabe district of Papua Province, but villagers reported seeing the plane which had on board 54 passengers and crew, crash into the mountain.
CNN reports that the flight left Sentani Airport in Jayapura at 2.22pm and was scheduled to land in Oksibil at about 3.16pm.
Transportation Ministry spokesman, J.A. Barata told CNN the plane lost contact at about 2.55pm; he equally stated there was no indication that a distress call was made from the plane.
