A lost love letter finds its recipient after 72 years

Allen Cook and his daughter Melissa were renovating her house in Westfield, New Jersey, this week when they found a crack in one of the ceilings. What they discovered within turned out to be part of a beautiful, heartwarming love story.
"The envelope was old and yellow. It has never been opened. It was unbelievable when my son-in-law started reading it. In the letter she was talking about the baby she was going to have," Allen Cook told CNN.
The story -- which could be straight out of a great movie plot about love and its mysterious ways -- begins in 1945.

"I was sitting on my porch. I saw a flash and immediately heard a terrible explosion," Giorgos Mylonas, 78, told The Associated Press. "Then I saw the train enter (a nearby) house and heard the two Albanians who live there scream for help."

    Can the righteous get depressed?

Nobody is immune to depression. In sickness, the poor and the rich become equals. The way and manner in which the pauper gets depressed, the bourgeoise also falls in the same line. Depression is defined by bing.com as ‘feelings of severe despondency and dejection’’. It can strike anyone, unfortunately, so many people live in denial and would hardly accept that they are in a situation where they would need medical help.

The material position of an individual does not exempt him from the misfortunes of life. Infact, in some instances, it is believed that the better one is financially, the more worries he would have (it is not proven yet). Another thing is one’s righteousness or goodness does not guarantee that depression would not visit him and people who do not understand you may think you have offended God for trouble to come upon you.

German data protection authorities on Tuesday said they had blocked Facebook from collecting subscriber data from its subsidiary WhatsApp, citing privacy concerns.

Facebook and WhatsApp promised in the wake of the Silicon Valley giant’s 2014 acquisition of the messaging app that they would not share data, Hamburg’s Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information Johannes Caspar recalled in a statement.
He added that Facebook would be required to delete any data already received from WhatsApp in Germany.
“It has to be (the users’) decision whether they want to connect their account with Facebook,” Caspar said. “Facebook has to ask for their permission in advance.”

Pastor tackles Lagos hospital for removing wife’s womb

A pastor with a Pentecostal ministry, Chinedu Rockson, has accused the management of Ilogbo Central Hospital in the Ajangbadi area of Lagos State of removing his wife’s womb and damaging her bladder during childbirth.
Chinedu said the hospital also detained his wife over the payment of N50,000, adding that efforts to clear the bill had been frustrated by the hospital.
PUNCH Metro learnt that Chinedu’s wife, Chinansa, had been referred to the hospital on August 26, 2016, after she could not be delivered of the baby at the hospital where she had her antenatal care.
The hospital reportedly commenced a caesarean section on the 42-year-old after her husband signed some documents to perfect the terms.
Chinedu explained that some hours into the operation, he was called into the theatre to sign another document, adding that nobody told him it was for the removal of his wife’s womb.
He said, “They charged N200, 000 for the operation and we negotiated for N150,000. I paid a deposit of N30,000 and they started the operation.
