Man deliberately drives into crowd – kills 3

Authorities say a man deliberately drove his SUV into a crowd killing three people including a child. At least 34 people suffered injuries including 10 seriously and one in critical condition. The incident happened at Graz, Austria’s second most populous city on Saturday.

In a statement by Graz City Council, the 26-year old male Austrian citizen driver used his vehicle as a weapon. According to CNN, a spokesman for the Austrian city’s government, Roman Sommershsacher, said the man drove through Graz’s inner city – including into a place where cars are not normally allowed.
Authorities have ruled out terrorism in the attack. He has since been arrested.
