Suleyman Demirel, former Turkey's Prime Minister served seven times and dominated the nation's politics for decades. He ruled turkey when the country struggled with violence, economic stagnation and military rule.
Demirel who died early Wednesday was aged 88.
New York Times reported that Guven Hospital in Ankara confirmed his death in a statement.
